Deliberate Parenting III
I am the most agreeable person you (don't) know. I love peace to the e..
My favourite movies are movies about family members who love their families and stand up for them. My favourite character in a movie is someone like Vin Diesel in 'fast and furious' or Michael Scofield who would break prison to get his brother.
I can have your back forever if you are my friend and never suffer you to shed a tear. I can play your team against Lionel Merci, Didier Drogba and Ronaldhino combined. I found out that all the values I uphold and model are the very ones I so wanted from my family.
I needed them to be team members and never let each other go. My saddest moment in life was the day my family lost my brother. Tears cannot describe my pain. We lost together because our team was sloppy.
See, when a family is united, not even spiritual forces can break them. Let witches quote that. They fittnt.
Playing the same team would mean that individuals will understand that the success of the family is more important than their personal vendetta.
Playing the same team will mean that there will be set goals like areas to improve upon, dreams to shoot for, good habits to set or bad habits to break.
It will help every family member to actively participate in this goal. Everyone takes the initiative to get things done. Everyone will be properly taken care of, so as to avoid injuries and setbacks on the team.
Team members viewpoints and ideas will be respectfully considered. All members will 'own' problems rather than blame them on others(including fathers).
Everyone is supportive of project and are 'let in' on important decisions. And yes, everyone should at least agree before daddy packs his bag to Lagos, or become the next local government chairman.
Everyone fights and stay close not only in times of trouble and difficulties, but in building great times. Yes! Great times of laughter, joy, peace and happiness. Great times of celebrations, promotions, teachings, accomplishments and warm memories.
Research shows that children who are valued as team members are less likely to experiment with substances like marijuana, cigarettes, cocaine etc.
A family that stay together is a family whose children will have good self esteem, high moral standards and win most of life's contest.
When family members play the same team, there will be momentum. They will soar and frolic in the sky. Children will easily reached a set goal.
Finally, children will have a stronger emotional bond with parents and the outside world. This very bond is very important.
Do you have family goals?
How important is the success of your family?
Are you a family team player or you just play team at work only?
Do you even know how to play team?
If you do, why are you fighting your child's teacher and school?
Why do you fight in your relationships?
Why are you fighting your brother, sister, and your wife?
Is your team sloppy because of you the leader?
Teams don't fight, they win with each other. I pray your family wins.
